Biography
Amy Watling-Cash has been working in Smoking Cessation for over a decade. Starting her career as a Stop Smoking Advisor as part of her role as a Wellbeing Support Worker with Mental Health Charity Mind, she soon realised her passion for smoking cessation and went on to work with Quit51 in the West Midlands. Keen to help design services Amy become Smoking Cessation Training Lead and later a Service Manager for OneLife Suffolk Stop Smoking and NHS Health Checks service. Amy is best known for her mobilisation and project management of a successful NHS Early Implementor Site for Smoking Cessation in Severe Mental Illness at Smokefree Norfolk, where expectational quit rates have been achieved.
She has also been a speaker among the likes of Professor Chris Whitty (Chief Medical Officer) at the OHID East of England Smokefree Summit 2024. Amy has recently joined Essex County Council Public Health team in 2025 to champion transformation in Tobacco Control.
