Biography
Hanifa leads on managing local projects to reduce smoking prevalence in Medway, with a particular focus on smoking in pregnancy and smoking amongst those with both acute and chronic diseases.
Hanifa brings together diverse stakeholders to implement community-based initiatives that support behaviour change leading to reduced exposure to tobacco related harm, reduced access to and use of tobacco, and reduced uptake of smoking.
Hanifa has as particular interest in business and service improvement and has a successful track record of delivering significantly improved outcomes in business units in both the public and private sector. Her employment history in Public Health encompasses smoking cessation and sexual health. Prior to 2009, Hanifa worked in the private sector for over 20years where she delivered measurable improvements across a range of business disciplines.
