Biography
Jennifer Percival is a qualified Nurse, Midwife, Health Visitor, Counsellor and Public Health trainer. During her role as an independent training consultant, she has worked for many organisations, including the WHO Tobacco Free Initiative, International Council of Nurses, NCSCT, PHE and Solutions4Health.
She specialises in teaching communication and motivational interviewing skills to healthcare professionals and has worked in over 30 countries including, Iceland, Moldovia, Romania, Hungary, New Zealand, Sweden, Taiwan, Kuwait and Hong Kong.
Jennifer was the Royal College of Nursing, Tobacco Policy Lead for 12 years and developed the first training courses on smoking cessation for nurses. She also supported the Department of Health on a variety of mass media stop smoking campaigns including a hard-hitting TV Testimonial campaign.
She is now best known for her master classes on new ways to help people stop smoking and how to engage people, unwilling, unconfident, or resistant to change. Jennifer is also the author of over 65 published articles and peer reviewed papers and her book ‘You Can Stop Smoking’ published by Virgin, has been translated into many languages.
