Biography
With a background in mathematics and statistics, Lesley has worked in both NHS and University settings and has more than 20 years experience in health services/public health research. Lesley has particular expertise in trial management and has a MSc in Clinical Trials from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Since 2011 Lesley has worked with Professor Linda Bauld taking forward a portfolio of projects relating to smoking cessation, most notably the Cessation in Pregnancy Incentives Trials (CPIT). Lesley managed CPIT II, the world’s largest trial of financial incentives for smoking cessation in pregnancy from 2011-2014. Currently she is managing CPIT III, a multi-centre randomised controlled trial involving three of the four UK nations.
