Hybrid Format for SCAH 2025

We are delighted that SCAH and all of our speakers are able to come back in-person  to York in 2025.  Following the successes’ of the virtual SCAH conference that was held in 2021, and the hybrid conference in 2023, we have planned the conference to be hybrid again offering an exciting interactive virtual experience for those that are not able to join us.

We aim to maximise the experience for all participants, whether you are joining us in York, watching it virtually or viewing the presentations and panel discussions, later on-demand.  All registered  participants will have access to the event app (Whova) where they can view the Speaker ppt. slides, follow and contribute to the live chat/discussions, participate in polls and submit questions for the panel debates.

For those that are participating virtually, you will be able to follow SCAH via a “live stream” as per the Agenda.

After the live stream, videos of speaker presentations and the panel discussions will be added to the virtual platform within 1 week of the live event for you to watch/re-watch later.  The app will be live for 3 months after the event.

Joining instructions for SCAH, including the link for the Whova app will be sent to all registered delegates by March 3rd.

If you have not yet registered, you need to do so HERE.  You must use the same email address for your registration as your Whova account.

SCAH Statement of Transparency
In the interest of transparency and safeguarding the integrity of the Smoking Cessation and Health Conference (SCAH), we disclose that our upcoming event will be held at York Racecourse. This decision was made following an extensive review of suitable venues based on price, capacity, accommodation, and accessibility. It was chosen as the most appropriate option considering these factors.
During our review, finding a venue that did not have some conflict of interest related to unhealthy commodities was extremely difficult. This challenge underscores the necessity for further measures to protect public health from harmful industries and highlights the need for additional national work on the commercial determinants of health.
Our primary commitment is to improve and protect public health and uphold our core values. We adhere to stringent principles to avoid conflicts of interest in all our engagements with industry stakeholders, including conference partnerships and sponsorships. We will be mindful of our mission when engaging with industry.
To maintain our independence and credibility, all industry engagements are carefully evaluated for potential risks and benefits. We ensure that any collaboration is transparent, evidence-based, and aligned with our public health objectives. Any personal or financial benefits to our members, partners, or sponsors must be declared and managed in accordance with our conflict of interest policy.
