Biography

Dr Nandita Divekar is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical care at Medway NHS Trust in Kent for the last 22 yrs. She is the Smoking Cessation lead for the Trust since Dec 19. She has started the STOP before the OP clinic with the Medway smoking cessation services in the Pre Assessment Clinic of the hospital. Prior to Dec 2019 she did all the Smoking Cessation work entirely in her own time. Since she started her work in Smoking Cessation the referrals to the local Smoking services doubled. She has won the Chief Executive’s scholarship for Excellence to study the Ottawa Model. She is a speaker on many International conferences and courses. She is a member of the All party Parliamentary Thrombosis Group.
